Technology Overview
What is Immutable X?
Immutable X is purpose-built for gaming and NFT applications: zero gas fees for NFT minting and trading, 9,000 TPS, Ethereum security via ZK-rollup. We have been building on Immutable since its launch. For high-volume NFT gaming applications, it is our recommended chain.
Immutable X eliminates the primary UX barrier in blockchain gaming: gas fees. A game with 10,000 daily active users minting and trading NFTs on Ethereum mainnet would generate $50,000–$500,000 in daily gas costs borne by players. On Immutable X, NFT minting and trading is gas-free. The trade-off: Immutable X is a ZK-rollup — EVM compatible via Immutable zkEVM, but with specific constraints around contract types and ecosystem integrations.

Implementation
How we implement Immutable X
Discovery and fit
We validate requirements, user flows, transaction volume, security constraints, and integration needs.
Architecture
We define contracts, backend services, infrastructure, data flows, testing strategy, and deployment environments.
Implementation
Our engineers build, integrate, test, and document the production system.
Launch and support
We deploy, monitor, optimize, and support the system after production release.
Security
Security at every implementation layer
Threat modeling
Architecture is reviewed for asset custody, access control, external dependencies, and abuse cases.
Testing
Implementation includes unit, integration, edge-case, and regression testing before release.
Audit readiness
Smart contracts and critical infrastructure are prepared for independent security review where required.
Monitoring
Production systems include observability, alerts, incident response planning, and maintenance workflows.
