Technology Overview

What is Blockchain?

Blockchain is a distributed database that records transactions permanently, transparently, and without requiring a central authority to verify them. For businesses, this means automating trust — removing the intermediaries, delays, and costs associated with verifying that agreements have been honoured.

Blockchain is a digital ledger that records transactions in blocks, chains those blocks together in chronological order, and distributes copies of the complete chain across a network of computers. No single participant controls the ledger. No transaction can be altered once recorded. Every participant can verify the current state of the ledger without needing to trust any other participant. The result is a system that can enforce agreements between parties who do not trust each other — without requiring a bank, lawyer, notary, or clearinghouse.

Implementation

How we implement Blockchain

01

Discovery and fit

We validate requirements, user flows, transaction volume, security constraints, and integration needs.

02

Architecture

We define contracts, backend services, infrastructure, data flows, testing strategy, and deployment environments.

03

Implementation

Our engineers build, integrate, test, and document the production system.

04

Launch and support

We deploy, monitor, optimize, and support the system after production release.

Security

Security at every implementation layer

Threat modeling

Architecture is reviewed for asset custody, access control, external dependencies, and abuse cases.

Testing

Implementation includes unit, integration, edge-case, and regression testing before release.

Audit readiness

Smart contracts and critical infrastructure are prepared for independent security review where required.

Monitoring

Production systems include observability, alerts, incident response planning, and maintenance workflows.

Frequently Asked Questions

Blockchain development FAQs

What is the difference between blockchain and cryptocurrency?+

Cryptocurrency (Bitcoin, Ethereum) is a digital asset that runs on a blockchain. Blockchain is the underlying technology — a distributed, immutable ledger. You can build a blockchain application that has nothing to do with cryptocurrency: a supply chain tracking system, a medical records platform, or a real estate settlement system can all use blockchain technology without issuing or using a cryptocurrency.

Is blockchain secure?+

The blockchain protocol itself — the cryptographic linking of blocks and the consensus mechanism — is highly secure. Blockchain exploits almost never attack the protocol. They attack the applications built on the protocol: smart contracts with coding vulnerabilities, exchanges with poor key management, bridges with design flaws. A blockchain application is as secure as the quality of its implementation and audit process.

Can blockchain data be deleted?+

No. This is fundamental to blockchain's value proposition. Data written to a public blockchain is permanent. For business applications subject to GDPR or other data deletion requirements, this is managed by storing personal data off-chain (in an encrypted database) and storing only a hash of the data on-chain — allowing the on-chain record to be verified without the personal data being on the blockchain.
